NODM provides a wide array of services to returned migrants, including: Per-arrival consultation to returnees and their families, transportation from international airports, assistance with family reunification and/or provision of “emergency” housing for returnees in need. We assist returned migrants in processes of re-documentation (issuing identification cards, tax payer documents, birth certificates, as well as retrieving travel documents held by foreign governments), releasing personal effects from customs, and other aspects of return. Finally, NODM provides a robust support network for men and women who return to Jamaica after having spent many years abroad or following their release from incarceration. This includes organizing workshops that promote personal growth, empowerment, and income generating capacities. Get to know us by watching our Coming Home to Jamaica Video.
